Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar, Sep/Oct 05Pale yellow color. Sexy nose combines pineapple, coconut, soft citrus scents and hazelnut. Fat and creamy, but with solid minerality and underlying grip. Nicely aromatic and expressive, with harmonious acidity framing and extending the wine's flavors. This is delicious-and impressively long for the vintage. 91-93 points

Berghound Tasting note: This is the first wine to display obvious vanilla with ample wood spice onthe peach and ripe apricot suffused nose that introduces sappy andextremely rich medium full flavors that are forward yet the dry extracthere is impressive as is the palate-staining finish. This is a wine ofobvious style and grace.
