2022 Coche Dury
The 2022 vintage is shaping up to be another benchmark for Raphaël Coche, who called it “a great vintage—and a great vintage in both colors!” We're keeping things simple today with two collector-worthy offers from this hallowed domaine, both at aggressive U.S. pricing. These are pre-arrivals with expected delivery in Fall 2025.
“A super-fresh nose speaks of red aromas that derive from both sides of the fruit spectrum while being nuanced with more prominent earth notes. The suave, velvety and plush medium weight flavors also firm up on the serious, youthfully austere and more structured finale. This is also a fine effort in the context of its level and equally warmly recommended.”Â

“The 2022 Meursault Village is lovely, unfurling in the glass with notes of citrus and crisp stone fruit mingled with white flowers, fresh hazelnuts and crushed rocks. Medium to full-bodied, with terrific density and cut, its satiny attack segues into a layered, structured mid-palate, concluding with a discreetly oak-inflected finish. This vintage should offer a comparatively broad drinking window.” Â

“A markedly more floral-suffused nose is otherwise quite similar to the straight Meursault. By contrast there is even better mid-palate density and notably more power to the bigger-bodied flavors that possess a highly seductive texture before culminating in a bone-dry yet not particularly austere finale that is balanced and strikingly long. This is a superb Puligny villages that should age effortlessly.”Â
