2019 Massolino Barolo Serralunga d’Alba
Today, I’m pleased to offer an absolute stunner from Massolino. This is an exceptional Barolo value from the outstanding 2019 vintage. I’m always on the lookout for these types of wines, so I was delighted to come across this traditional Serralunga d’Alba producer, who has crafted a wine from a number of their different vineyards, perfectly representing what Barolo is all about.
You might be tempted to look at this as an entry level wine, however in a vintage like 2019, by no means should it be considered “entry.” It's rich, intense and deserves 3-5 years in the cellar when it will fully reveal all that it has to offer. At that point, no one will even whisper “entry level wine.” This is truly an exceptional wine and vintage.
I urge you to grab some and put them in your cellar. I’m already banking the thank-yous that I know will come later!
