Notes:
An equally pure and elegant nose is quite different as here there is much more smoky reduction to the citrus-inflected pear and shellfish scents. The rich yet nicely restrained medium weight flavors brim with minerality and excellent detail, all wrapped in a slightly more complex finish. This is only a touch better than the Vaulorent but overall, it's just a bit more complete. Burghound 93 Sweet Spot Outstanding!
The 2019 Chablis 1er Cru Monte de Tonnerre unwinds to reveal aromas of citrus oil, warm pastry, crisp green orchard fruit and vanilla pod. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and precise, it's lively and mineral, concluding with a saline finish. Tightly wound and gently patinated by its levage, this will develop well with time in bottle.
