Notes:
"I cant recommend these two Champagnes from Pierre Peters highly enough. In particular, the vintage Blanc de Blancs, from the Chetillons vineyard in Mesnil, is one of the regions great wines, with a brilliant track record for aging as I discovered when I visited the property earlier this year."
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate.
The 2002 Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Cuvee Speciale Les Chetillons, from one of the top sites in Mesnil, positively explodes on the palate. Layers of ripe fruit lead to smoke, minerals and ash in this opulent, full-bodied Champagne. The 2002 Chetillons is painfully young at this stage, but its class and sheer pedigree are impossible to miss. This is a fabulous, breathtaking Champagne from Pierre Peters. The Chetillons is made from three parcels with vines ranging from 35 to 68 years of age. 95 points.
Wine Spectator, December 2010
This full-bodied bubbly shows some bass tones of toast and roasted nuts, but also stays defined and fresh. Peach, apple pie and spice notes hold the center, and the texture is supple. The expansive finish offers flavors of candied berry, toast and mineral. 94 points.
Brad Baker's Champagne Warrior, December 2010
Primary and not really ready, but... oh man, this is good, good stuff. Tightly coiled, racy minerals cross with a twisted, demented apple and doughy, toasted almond citrus that will knock you out with one punch. If you can get your hands onthis, try one now just for the experience, but save some for later this will undoubtedly emerge as a classic Peters wine.Just be sure to get your hands on a few bottles, or, better yet, magnums. potential 91-94 points.
