Todayās wine is probably MY FAVORITE in the lineup, Bourgogne Blanc Clos de la Carbonade Monopole . This is a single vineyard located in the town of Bouzeron, which is the most northern village of the Cote Chalonaise. Donāt let its modest pedigree fool you, this is a serious wine that will put a lot of wines from both Chassagne and Pulginy to shame. The 2023 is in an ideal spot at the moment. It has the flesh we see from a sunny vintage but there is an intensity and persistence to it you rarely see from wines at this level. It's flat out delicious!
