In this 2016 Demi-Sec, the tension is slightly cushioned by the balanced sweetness than the rapier-like Sec yet without a trace of baby fat. And much like the Sec, this Demi-Sec comes across with precision and agility despite its ample richness. It is a tangy, succulent Vouvray driven by notes of citrus blossom, mango, and lime zest. It is a truly symphonic wine as each component plays off one another yet remains distinct, earmarked with a thunderous finishing minerality typical of Foreau. Philippe states authoritatively that this deftly balanced, prismatic wine will still taste young 20 years after the vintage. A masterpiece for now and many tomorrows!
