William Kelly Wine Advocate 91 The 2016 Chablis 1er Cru Forêts stands out as one of the highlights of the range in 2016, offering up aromas of white peach, mandarin, Meyer lemon and spring flowers. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, glossy and nicely concentrated, with good cut and tension, concluding with a saline finish. This won't be one of the longest-lived renditions of the Louis Michel Forêts, but it will make for very attractive drinking in the near term. Burghound 90
An interesting if somewhat atypical nose reflects notes of orange peel, petrol and melon on the ripe orchard fruit and mineral reduction aromas. The sleek and attractively intense middle weight flavors exude a subtle minerality before terminating in a bitter lemon and saline-inflected finish that is notably dry in the context of the vintage.
