2002 Lafarge Volnay

A big step up in class with cassis, black cherry and plenty of spice on the nose and pure, punchy, sweet, detailed and focused middle weight flavors plus a dense, rich and delicious finish. Despite all of the generosity of the flavors and finish, this is a serious wine with buried structure and one that will be capable of improving for at least 5 to 7 years and last a good deal longer. - Burghound
