DESCRIPTION

from clay-and-chalk soil): Good medium red. Spicy redcurrant and red cherry aromas are complicated by a whiff of menthol. Juicy and firm on entry, then quite tight and a bit skinny in the middle. This will definitely need longer than the Combe Brülée to come around. Finishes with a distinctly masculine tannic structure that clamps down on the wine's finishing fruit. -- Stephen Tanzer 88-91
