2022 Paul Pernot Puligny Montrachet 1er Clos de la Garenne

Cooler aromas of Granny Smith apples, essence of pear, acacia and crushed star anise are trimmed in all but imperceptible wood. Once again the medium weight flavors possess a highly attractive texture while exuding a subtle minerality that adds a sense of refinement and lift to the balanced, clean, nicely dry and slightly more persistent finish. This is lovely and worth considering.  Burghound 92 Outstanding!

Pale colour with a light green tint. This has flesh and grip while the fruit style is not without elegance. The mineral acidity plays very nicely at the back. This wine has considerable potential. Drink from 2027-2034. Tasted: October 2023.  Jasper Morris 93
