This special cuvée comes from the steeper incline of the estate’s hillside which carries the rare appellation “Cotes de Provence La Londe,” where the vines are planted in soils containing a high concentration of quartz-rich, blue schist. Only 20 estates count La Londe in their holdings, as the appellation extends across 8 tiny villages in the immediate area. “Faustine” receives exceptional treatment during vinification with a full 15 hours of maceration for the 50% Grenache along with a saignée of the 50% Cinsault. Explosive aromas overlay a complex, noble structure with spellbinding texture that show clearly why this wine is a cut above the classic Cotes de Provence character. The interplay of Grenache and Cinsault is expressed through snappy red fruits and background notes of Mediterranean herbs.
