Stephen Tanzer Int'l Wine Cellar, Nov/Dec 2007Good full red. Sexy aromas of plum, raspberry, spices, dried flowers and minerals; this bottling always strikes me as Burgundian. Suave, broad and classically dry, with a fine-grained texture and lovely aromatic lift to the red berry, spice and floral flavors. This very juicy wine finishes with substantial dusty tannins and captivating mineral firmness. All of these wines are done in barriques. 93 points
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, Dec. 2007 Corino’s 2004 Barolo Vigna Giachini reveals superb clarity and definition in its layered black cherry fruit, showing outstanding persistence on the palate, refined tannins and beautifully well-integrated oak. This vibrant, pure Barolo is a terrific effort from Giuliano Corino. 95 points.
