Allen Meadows, Burghound, January 2006.Ripe, almost plumy black pinot fruit aromas blend seamlessly into fresh, textured, complex and beautifully precise middle weight flavors that deliver simply superb length. This is an exquisitely balanced wine with ample minerality and it finishes with lovely natural sweetness. 91 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar, Mar/Apr 2005 Medium red. Quite subdued on the nose. Silky and moderately sweet in the mouth, with reticent flavors of strawberry, spices and earth; showed a redcurrant perfume as it opened in the glass. Finishes uncompromisingly dry and backward, but the tannins are sweet. 90 points
