DESCRIPTION

Charles Magnien is thrilled to have a fermage agreement for this half hectare clos of 45 year old vines, named for a mid 18th century soldier and pirate. His first vintage shows a delightful crimson purple colour. The nose is very sensual on the cusp of red and black fruit, while maintaining precision. A fresh crunchy finish. A very interesting debut. Drink from 2024-2027. Tasted: November 2022  Jasper Morris 88-90
