2019 Droin, Jean Paul & Benoit Chablis 1er Vosgros

Once again there is plenty of mineral reduction present on the slightly riper aromas of various white orchard fruit, citrus rind and iodine. There is a bit less refinement and notably more power to the medium-bodied flavors that flash evident muscle on the stony, delicious and refreshing finish that is also a bit firmer. Pale lemon colour. The bouquet has the attractive opulence of the vintage without covering the essential crystalline limestone nature of Chablis. The fruit is immediately attractive on the palate, with an admirably salinity to follow through, and fine persistence. Jasper Morris 92
