The 2019 Pommard 1er Cru Epenots wafts from the glass with aromas of red berries, blood orange, rose petals and peonies. Medium to full-bodied, layered and velvety, with a fleshy core of fruit, succulent acids and a long, perfumed, saline finish, it's a superb debut from Jobard. William Kelley 92
An attractive range of red and dark berries is laced with notes of earth, leather and a hint of spice. There is better volume to the moderately intense and equally well-delineated flavors that deliver fine depth and persistence on the notably more structured finale. While this is the most concentrated wine in the range, it still is not particularly dense. With that said, I found this to be quite attractive and fashioned in a style that could be approached after 5 or so years yet be capable of repaying 10 to 12. Burghound 91 Outstanding!
