Here the nose is dominated by pink grapefruit and tidal pool nuances. The sleekly proportioned middle weight flavors also possess ample minerality that continues onto the once again notably dry but not austere finale that delivers markedly better depth and persistence. Good stuff. Burghound 90-92
(from purchased grapes from 60-year-old vines): Pale, bright yellow. Aromas of orange zest, pink grapefruit, white pepper and lichee are a bit more exotic than those of the village wine in a good way. Fat, savory and sweet in the mouth, with a creamy old-vines intensity to the flavors of crystallized lime and stone fruits. Finishes smooth and long, with bracing acidity giving this fruit bomb a lipsmacking sappiness on the back. Vinous/Steve Tanzer 90-92
