There is just enough reduction present to suggest that this would benefit from decanting if you're tempted to try a bottle in its youth. Otherwise there is a really lovely sense of underlying tension present on the concentrated and tautly muscular flavors that even so possess a relatively refined mouth feel before concluding in an almost aggressively mineral-inflected, balanced and hugely long finish. This superb effort is flat out terrific and highly recommended, indeed this is as good a Pavelot Gravains as I can remember in many a year. Burghound 93 Sweet Spot
