There is now a trace of secondary to the mildly earthy yet attractively elegant red berry fruit aromas that display hints of underbrush and crushed dried herb. Initially this was very tight, indeed to the point that I would strong advise decanting it though with air the mid-palate fleshes out to reveal the same fine depth as the nose, all wrapped in a detailed, intense, driving and discreetly mineral-infused finish that delivers excellent length. This is lovely stuff that has just a bit of the '02 acidity present on the backend but overall, I quite like this. As to current drinkability, it's approachable now if you're willing to allow for 1 to 2 hours of air but I personally would allow another 3 to 5 years of bottle age. Tasted several times with consistent notes. Burghound 92 (Tasted 2013)
