2002 Joseph Drouhin Griottes Chambertin

There is only a whiff of secondary to the intensely floral and spice-inflected aromas of red berry fruit, earth and herbal tea. The is excellent intensity to the delicious, detail and mineral-suffused medium-bodied flavors that possess terrific drive and focus on the impressively long, saline and complex finish where the only nit worthy of note is a hint of warmth. This is seriously good though for my taste it is still close to a decade away from its ultimate peak.  Burghound 94
