Still quite deeply colored. While there is still some wood in evidence on the nose, it is sufficiently subtle as to allow the earthy mix of both red and dark pinot fruit aromas that are cut with notes of spice, earth and a floral hint to shine. There is excellent mid-palate density to the still youthfully vibrant flavors that possess impressive power and excellent length on the complex and firmly structured finale where the only obvious nit is a hint of warmth. This is very clearly still on the way up and I would be inclined to allow it at least another 7 to 8 years of cellaring and 12 to 15 would not be out of the question and this appears to be evolving glacially
