Adrien Renoir

Adrien Renoir represents a new generation of grower-producers redefining Champagne through precision farming and terroir transparency. Based in the Grand Cru village of Verzy in the Montagne de Reims, Renoir works almost exclusively with Pinot Noir planted in some of the region’s most prized chalk-rich soils. While deeply rooted in family tradition, his philosophy is distinctly modern—focused on organic and biodynamic farming, minimal intervention, and wines that speak clearly of place rather than house style.
Working without official certification but farming with meticulous care, Renoir treats each vineyard parcel individually, encouraging biodiversity and healthier soils throughout the estate. In the cellar, the approach is restrained and thoughtful: fermentations occur in neutral oak and stainless steel, preserving both purity and texture without masking the character of the fruit.
“Le Cépage” captures this philosophy perfectly. Made entirely from Pinot Noir and finished with minimal dosage, the wine highlights the tension, energy, and mineral precision that define Verzy. Rather than emphasizing richness or power, Renoir’s Champagnes focus on balance, detail, and transparency—Champagnes that feel both deeply traditional and unmistakably contemporary.
