On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very pure and tangy, with a great core of fruit, ripe tannins, impeccable focus and balance and a very, very long and laser-like finish. Young Nuits St. Georges simply does not get any more elegant than this wonderful 2010 Mugneret Chaignots. The delicious, intense and vibrant flavors possess a sophisticated mouth feel as the supporting tannins are dense but fine, all wrapped in a delicious and lingering finish. Despite the refinement of the mid-palate the Nuits muscle shows up on the finish though there is no rusticity.
