There is still a bit of gas in this wine from the malo, but the wine is quite obviously a lovely example of the vintage, as it offers up a deep and sappy nose of cherries, red plums, pomegranate, a fine base of soil, hints of cocoa and a smoky topnote. There is beautiful energy to the strikingly intense and racy flavors where the underlying structural elements are clearly ripe and while firm, they seem less prominent than they are in reality as there is an abundance of buffering dry extract.
