There is fine richness and excellent mid-palate ripeness and concentration to the medium-bodied flavors that culminate in a long, complex and quite serious finish. The stunning nose offers up a complex mélange of red plums, black cherries, a nice touch of violet, raw cocoa, nutty tones, a complex base of soil and a fine framing of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very pure, with a great core of fruit, a very elegant profile, excellent mid-palate depth and very refined tannins on the flawlessly balanced finish.
