The glorious nose soars from the glass in a sappy mlange of cherries, raspberries, raw cocoa, a great base of chalky soil tones, orange zest, hints of the meatiness to come and roses. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, tangy and rock solid at the core, with great focus and grip, fine-grained tannins and a long, nascently complex and tangy finish.
