The bouquet delivers a very classy blend of black cherries, blood orange, a touch of grilled meat, complex soil tones and espresso. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, deep and beautifully poised, with suave, moderate tannins, tangy acids, excellent focus and outstanding length and grip on the complex and soil-driven finish. Year in and year out this is one of my favorite wines in the Fourrier cellar, and the 2008 is no exception.
