The nose is very, very elegant in 2007 (as was the case with a great many of the 2007s from Nuits that I tasted out of barrel), as it offers up a fine mlange of red plums, cherries, a touch of nutskin, woodsmoke, coffee and fresh herbs. On the palate the wine is fullish, suave and complex, with a fine core of fruit, flawless focus and balance, moderate tannins and impressive grip on the very long and pure finish.
