The bouquet is very deep and quite ripe, as it offers up a flashy blend of black cherries, plums, chocolate, vinesmoke, earth and a touch of tobacco. \u003cb\u003eOn the palate the wine is full-bodied, plush and very deep, with fine purity, impressive mid-palate depth, ripe tannins and a long, complex and powerful finish.\u003c\/b\u003e This is bigger, more powerful and concentrated than the Grèves, but to my palate it is not quite as tightly knit, focused and complex. The impression of acidity here is also noticeably lower than the Grèves. Very ripe but vibrant aromas of dark raspberry, brown spices and mocha, complemented by an earthy element.
