The Grande Annee is 63% Pinot Noir and 37% Chardonnay sourced from 76% Grand Cru and 24% Premier Cru vineyards. This bottle was disgorged in January, 2009. While this description may sound intense or over the top, the wine isn't.\u003c\/strong\u003e It starts off intense, but then moves into a nice, relaxing spot where everything comes together and gains some orange-led brightness. With air and warmth this really shows its charm, as the orange and pear notes gain a bright and sunny edge. Following other recent vintages from 1996 forward, \u003cstrong\u003ethis is drinking very well right now.
