2017 Droin, Jean Paul et Benoit Chablis 1er Vaillons

*This is one of the wines I made a special notation in my tasting book - Delivers Classic Chablis nose, excellent mid palate and lingering finish.  Approachable now but will benefit from mid term cellaring. Very Nice - Vins Rare

The 2017 Chablis Vaillons 1er Cru has a really refined bouquet with yellow flowers nutmeg and light apple blossom aromas that unfurl in the glass. The palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, taut and linear for a Vaillons but as always, just so pretty with a touch of white peach on the finish. Less "mean" and more seductive in style, this serves as an excellent introduction to Droin. Vinous/Neal Martin 91-93
