2020 Chevillon Nuits St Georges Les Cailles

Moderate wood sets off spicy and very ripe aromas of various dark berries that are not quite as fresh though they are nicely layered. The exceptionally rich medium-bodied flavors possess fine intensity as well as good concentration, indeed the sappy dry extract buffers the equally firm and robust finale. The Chevillon Les Cailles is normally a wine of refinement and grace but the 2020 version is much more robust and powerful than usual.  Burghound 90-93 Outstanding!
