Vaucrains is widely considered a premier cru worthy of grand cru status and Chezeaux’s does much to support the argument. Usually an authoritative, rumbling beast but here showing a gentler profile without yielding any depth and power. Remarkably woven elements of fruit, mineral and savory. Astounding flavor clearly evident in volume at this early stage, chock full of cassis and licorice gliding into satiny tannins. Drink it the day it lands on your doorstep!
