“Here the nose remains mildly reduced and while it's not enough to cause me serious concern, I would suggest decanting this if you're going to try a bottle in the next few years. Otherwise there is plenty of size, weight and punch to the concentrated and velvety middle weight plus flavors that coat the palate with dry extract, all wrapped in a dusty, balanced and lingering finish. Often this is more Vosne than Nuits though in 2014 it seems to be a representative blend of the two. In a word, excellent.” (January, 2017)

“Good dark red. Some smoky reduction to the aromas of black cherry, dark berries, chocolate, coffee and earth, plus a slightly sauvage leather note. Suave, ripe and fine-grained, combining the more noble texture of Vosne with the dark fruit flavors and slight rusticity of Nuits. Conveys a higher-pH impression than the 2015 version but the wine's harmonious acidity and smooth tannins give it an element of finesse. Finishes with excellent length.” (March, 2017)
