2012 Chevillon Nuits St Georges Les Cailles

Reduction renders the nose impossible to read. The classy and very cool middle weight flavors possess very ripe and already well-integrated tannins as well as an ultra-refined mouth feel on the deep, balanced and gorgeously long finish. As pretty as this is, note well that the firm structure will require at least a decade to resolve and probably more like 12 to 15. Burghound 91-93 Outstanding!

Bright, deep red.  Pungent crushed-stone minerality accents musky black cherry and red berries on the almost liqueur-like nose.  Juicy, supple and energetic on the palate, communicating a sappy, youthfully imploded character and a magically light touch for such a rich wine.  The tactile, slowly building finish saturates the mouth with red fruits and crushed stone.  Great potential here.
