($195) Good medium red. Highly aromatic nose combines crushed raspberry, smoky minerality and an element of garrigue. Vibrant but youthfully uncompromising, with terrific inner-mouth perfume to the flavors of raspberry, flowers and herbs. Really spreads out to saturate the palate. The finish is firm, sappy and very long. This will require eight to ten years to approach maturity. Outstanding potential.
The cool and pure dried flower, spice, red berry, stone and exotic tea infused nose makes for a superb introduction to the medium-bodied flavors that are notably fine with a really lovely minerality before culminating in a tension-filled, racy, intense and balanced finish. Like the 2011 version, this crystalline beauty is very classy. Recommended. Burghound 92 Outstanding!
